D-Tap connection
Hi,
I have just received my 700 and have been going through the manual however can't find anything in relation to the D-Tap connector socket. Am I able to run a Comer 1800 video light via Dtap with the camera running power direct from the mains? I have attached the ac adapter and powered up the camera, however I cannot get the external video light to operate - is there a setting on a menu that I need to adjust to activate the Dtap socket? When I added a battery with the Dtap connector in the same camera socket it powered from the battery - does that mean I cannot power up my light without a battery on, even though the camera is being powered by the mains? Thanks |
Re: D-Tap connection
You will only be able to draw power from the D-Tap socket when you have a battery attached. The socket 'taps' straight off the battery not backwards from the a/c supply.
Be aware that anything connected that draws anything over 50w will blow a fuse. That shouldn't be a problem with the Comer 1800. |
