Re: JVC GY-hmc 710u vs Panasonic AG-hmc150

Does the 710 come with a Anton/bauer mount stock or do you need to buy one? Is it the same as the GY-HD 100? I still have my 100 so I guess I can use the lense and other things as needed. One more thing, Are all the 700 series cameras the same in low light? 710 vs 750?

Re: JVC GY-hmc 710u vs Panasonic AG-hmc150

Comes with the AB mount standard. the lens is interchangable with the HD series. As for low light, my understanding is that the 750 was better than the the 700 and the 710 is the same as the 750.

Minimum Illumination for the HM750 = 1.25 lux (1920 x 1080 mode, f/1.4, +18dB, w/8-frame accumulation)

Minimum Illumination for the 710 = 1.25 lux (typical) (1920 x 1080 mode, f/1.4, +18 dB, with 8-frame accumulation)

These specs from B&H spec sheet on each camera.

Re: JVC GY-hmc 710u vs Panasonic AG-hmc150

The HM700 is definitely better in low light than the HD100 I use to used both together at one time until I sold the 100 to get another 700. I guess that a 710 or 750 would be a bit better than my 700.
If you are use to the HD100 then the HM7** will be a revelation not only is it better in low light but also the viewfinder and LCD screen are much much better; larger, brighter and sharper.
As regards batteries. Here in UK they were sold with a V-Lock plate, thought there was a AB option. It's exactly the same fitting as on the HD100 and it's very easy to change the plate. I took the AB plate off my old Panasonic DV200s and use the Trimpacs until they gave up the ghost. I now use V-Lock.
