UK 3G/4G Dongle for GY-HM650?

Hi, is anyone using a GSM dongle with the HM650 (in the UK)? The JVC website lists 2 Huawei models (E3231 and E173) and I wondered if anyone has any experience with them (especially unlocked ones)?

I have successfully been using a wired ethernet adaptor and a wifi dongle (both Edimax I think) but I have an upcoming job where a GSM connection would be more suitable (I hope!).

I'd be interested to know this too. A UK Amazon search pulls up a few dongles.

I'll ask my colleagues at the BBC what they've been using, but I believe it's some proprietary stuff.

A direct jack in USB modem will work MUCH better than a WiFi connection to a mobile broadband service running at the same upload speed......even if you press your WiFi hotspot right against the damn WiFi dongle!
