Delay when pressing the record button to stop

I notice a couple of things with the HM100 and am wondering if this is 'normal'.

1. When I hit the record button, recording is immediate. But when I hit the button again to stop, there's a slight delay before it stops recording.

2. The image in the viewfinder isn't 'smooth'. There seems to some 'jerkiness' as you pan or tilt.

Has anyone experience the above?

1 - I think this is due to the file being finalised.
2 - Which format are you shooting in? I've noticed that anything shot at 25 rather than 50 does appear slightly jerky.
I'm in PAL land so that may be 30 rather than 60 for you.

The delay is caused in finalising the clip and I think is normal. And just in case (like me) you eject the card before it has finished its housekeeping and the clip is unreadable on your mac - after you have finished panicking JVC have you covered. Just reinsert the card and the camera will 'fix' the clip and you should be fine. This happened to me on my first shoot (a conference with the local member delivering the opening address) I think I aged a year in the five mins it took to fix the clip.
