GV-HD700 speed

I haven't seen this mentioned yet: what is the rewind and ffw speed like on this walkman? I currently capture HDV from my XH A1, but the speed and firewire "delay" are so frustrating that I don't log clips anymore because it takes forever. I just "capture now" the entire tape and then sort it out in FCP. I would like a deck that will allow me to again log clips and then batch capture. I am pretty sure that sony's HDR-M15U deck is fast and efficient (like my DSR-11), but I am not sure if the GV-HD700 will be as fast. Any ideas?

The question is, do you want to pay thousands of dollars more for a full-sized HDV deck, just to zip faster between segments? I'd get a small tape rewinder, to save wear on both the camcorder and the VCR. My GVD-1000 is not very fast and I imagine the HDV version is about the same speed. However, it's just a part of the deal, to have to spend some time, if you want to mark off clips before uploading to a computer. There's a limit to how fast any deck or rewinder can go and not put these fragile tapes at risk of damage. Transfering the contents of a camera tape to a computer in a single, continuous run, is what most people do anyway.
