Are Panasonic tapes bad?
Years ago I was told not to buy Panasonic tapes because they mess up cameras. I can't remember anything more specific than that about what I was told. Is there a specific kind of Panasonic tape that one should avoid or all of them? Or is this statement just wrong?

Would they still be in business otherwise? Personally I do have
a feeling that panasonic tapes have some problems in the XL1S, but that is just a personal "feeling". Other swear by Panasonic tapes. Who told you not to get Panasonic? (I mean what kind of person, what was his/her background etc.). It's probably like Coca Cola. The rumour goes there is cocaine in there. Actually there was in the early days but it was gone from the beginning of the 1900's (according to MTV).... |
Mike, there are many threads on this topic in this forum. The short answer is, no, Panasonic tapes are not bad, except if you use them in combination with other brand tapes in the same camera, in which case the interuse may gunk up your heads.
