SanDisk: now has 4, 8 and 16 GB flash cards
 

So, now I'm drooling for a $100 flash card that will hold 16 GBytes. Right now, we're at about $170 for 2 GBytes of premium
flash, $200 for 4 GBytes of regular flash. Someday, each file will be a WAV file, split by shooting time. If you're in a jam for space,
the file can be compressed to MPEG2 by the camcorder. You'll be able to shoot in any format you like, including a version of DV or HDV with less compression. The tape drive will be a backup storage option, and capture will be six times faster.

Now all we need is a LANC based firewire device that is similar to the Firestore or Snapstream drives that will accept CF cards...
