DV/HDV Time and Date Metadata

I am looking for a tool that can read the time and date metadata from DV and HDV files. The Adobe PP CS5 Metadata panel will show the original time and date of a shot but the information applies only to the start of the clip. If a tape is copied using Capture Tape then the subsequent record points don't seem to be available. If the tape is captured using the Scene Detect function then the time and date from the individual clips are available.

Are there tools available that display the time and date continuously when playing a file? Any plug-in software for PP CS5?

Yes. For Windows there is www.dvmp.co.uk which does this for DV, HDV, AVCHD and Sony HDD/DVD.

Thanks Colin. I needed access to date and time information for tapes I shot since 1998. The program does the trick. I may also find some of the other functions useful. Cheers.
