Difference between these two tapes?
I would like to know is there is any difference between these two tapes, apart from the case.

I doubt they are two differnt tapes... One is the case, the other is the tape in the case.... besides, sony only offers one type of HDV tape.

And don't forget - even though you're recording in HDV MPEG2 mode, you're only recording ones and zeros, just like DV. They can be recorded just as well onto Sony Premiums at 1/5th the price.
