Say goodbye to Chase Cam, GoPro and the POV 1
...there's a new kid on the block, the VHoldR by Contour HD.
Since I shoot almost entirely car videos, I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. This little gem cost $289 and is HIGH DEF. 1280 x 720 I tested it out and although the colors (RGB) are very vivid, the footage is MUCH better than anything that is currently out at twice the price. I shot with it and I'm VERY pleased with the footage. BHPhoto has them in stock. Check it out. |
Could you upload some footage to YouTube? I'm thinking about getting one of these now. My current solution is duct taping an Aiptek A-HD to a bike helmet.

Just googled 'em and watched the BMX sample on their web site. Looks brilliant.

Besides some footage .. how do you attach it to a car? Inside.. outside? Thanks.

POV1 is waterproof, VHoldR is water resistant, meaning you cannot use for watersports windsurfing, surfing, diving etc. I had my hopes up till I found out that little tidbit. Looks like it will be great for dry land activities though. I'm still looking for a little cam that shoots HD with a high frame rate and is waterproof.
