Removing Gopro adhesive mounts, how?

Hola,
was wondering about removing the 3M adhesive mounts from a surface like a car door, or an airplane cockpit.
What do u use to remove them?
Thx

Should just peel up (I generally use a slight twisting motion also). You can use a flat headed screwdriver or plastic putty knife also. If it's really a delicate surface, you can use a hairdryer to help heat up and gum-up the 3M tape.

Hi Annen,
i was goggleing the images for "headed screwdriver" but appears like a screwdriver for normal bolts, could u link an image?

I've used a flat, 1" wide metal putty knife and a hairdryer. The adhesive is pretty good; heating it a bit makes it more pliable and a thin edge putty knife will lift it without breaking anything if you're careful

Check your hardware store for something call "Goo Gone". Mineral spirits would work fine as well.

Hola my friends, if i a go to a local store here in EU and i go" Please do u have GOO gone?" they gonna call the Ghostbusters!!!
I doubt they gonna have it in EU
;)

Eucalyptus oil is very good at removing sticky goo if you can find it. Put it on and give it a few minutes to work its way into the stuff and then it should come off fairly easily.
The other trick is to freeze the goo, any of those cans of liquid air will do it.

Amazon UK has it.

As was mentioned, you are supposed to use a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive so it will release. That's what I've done, and it works. The added benefit is that the adhesive will still function to some degree for more applications.

The issue is...U can't bring the dryer on an Airplane or an Helicopter to remove the mounts......
:(

I've seen people release certain adhesive mounts using dental floss or fishing line, slipping it carefully between the adhesive and the surface it's stuck to.

YMMV
