GoPro Panning Time Lapse Test
Hero 3 Black, $4 egg timer modified and hot glued to a $1 piece of pine. GoPro mount hot glued to the pine. I put it on top of my A/C unit on my roof. 1 frame per second for 60 minutes, 340 degrees (had a few minutes of adjusting cut out). Something in the 'hood of 13.6GB, 3602 pictures stitched together for this one.

Re: GoPro Panning Time Lapse Test
Very innovative! Well done! Certainly with a camera the size of a gopro, using things like an egg timer is feasible whereas, with any larger camera, it simply wouldn't handle the weight.
Again, well done McGuiver, ahem, i mean, Marco! |
Re: GoPro Panning Time Lapse Test
Thanks! I can't take all the credit. I saw this method on Youtube and just took off with it.

Re: GoPro Panning Time Lapse Test
That's very cool! I like how the rotation gives the clouds a more 3D effect. Nice innovation!

Re: GoPro Panning Time Lapse Test
Thanks! I think i lucked out with the direction of rotation and the direction the clouds were moving.
