Fixing fisheye look

Hi,

Is it beneficial to shoot in 2.7K in order to then be able to fix the fisheye effect. I'm thinking that if my video is just HD and I fix fisheye and the frame needs to be cropped a bit because of that I have more pixels to work with. Is that true or waste of space to shoot in 2.7K for this purpose?

Anytime you can save pixels it's a good idea. The more you have to better your end product. What are you using to remove the fisheye. I work for ProDRENALIN and we have some pretty good tools for that.

Looks good. Too bad it does not run on MAC.

If you are referring to the ProDRENALIN software, the actual ProDRENALIN app has a version that will work on a Mac. Our higher end stabilization app only works on PC. Try the free download and see how it works.

Have you tried shooting 1080p in M (medium) view mode? A lot of people overlook the wide, medium and narrow options before they shoot. Unfortunately only the wide option is available in 2.7k (at least on the hero3)
