Sanyo SD1 vs. Panasonic S100
Ok, I know both of these cameras are super scarce, but...
I'm probably going to buy the Sanyo SD1 as a pocket camera, however the HD aspect isn't as important to me as having a really nice picture, which leaves me looking at the 3CCD Panasonic S100, SD based camcorder (which looks the same if not smaller) Has anyone used a Panasonic S100? They are from Japan only at this point as well, and almost the same price as the SD1. Anyone know where I could find sample clips from it? |
You wrote Sanyo SD1 but I assume you mean Sanyo HD1.
You would need to see footage from the S100, I guess, to know whether those 3 CCD's make it better than the HD1. Camcorder HQ were not overly impressed: "You'll get a slightly less vivid movie than with higher-end tape camcorders, but if you're not a stickler for super-slick videos, the SDR-S100 won't annoy you too much." The HD1 is slightly cheaper. |
