No information in Instruction Manual page 42 : Video clip recording and playback

I want pause when recording, please help me

My understanding is that while you cannot pause during recording, you can join clips in camera.

In other words, if you stop and start shooting 7 times this will unavoidably lead to the creation of 7 separate clips - however these clips can be converted into one clip easily and without any quality loss.

I don't have the manual handy right now but it's all explained within.
