New testimonial video shot with D90

Hi All.

While the hype around the GH1 is sky rocketing I still enjoy working with my D90!

Here is my latest testimonial video made for a leading camera bags manufacturer.

Ami Elsius is a Swedish freelance photographer and travel writer. She mainly photographs fashion, advertising, portraiture, travel and weddings as well.
Fine art photography is however what she loves most spending lots of time shooting professional dancers for private projects.

Technical details are in vimeo.

Many thanks!

Johnnie

D90 footage

Johnnie,

Are you telling me this footage was shot with a nikon D90? If so im putting one on order ASAP. I travel from USA to ASIA often and im tired of carrying SLR bodies, and video cameras. This would be an ideal tool for me!

Hi David.

Yes indeed, all was shot with the D90.

If you know the camera limitations and either make your way around them or accept them...Then it is a great working tool.

All the best.

Johnnie

Incredible work! I have never seen so much D90 footage in focus before ;)

I am a complete amateur so I would expect my footage to look soft.

How were you able to focus? What I found difficult is that the DOF is so shallow that focusing is that much harder, then in daylight it is very hard to see the LCD.

Tell us your secrets :)

thanks,
~Jay

Hi Jay, thanks for your kind words!.
No secrets here, just a Kata black "bag cover" on my head and camera (but any black cloth will do) I look like an alien but who cares as long as I get my focus right....
