Editing 60i format shot as 30f in 30p sequence

I shoot 30p - on my Canon XH-A1 and HV30. The XH-A1 comes into FCP with a codec labeled 30p and the HV30 comes in labeled 60i. The 60i really is 30p video, as distinct from the transfer/codec format.

OK, how do I edit this? Both are going to be used in the same Sequence and I want the sequence to be 30p. Do I need to do anything special or will it just come out OK in the end? What about transitions in the "60i" material?

I am hoping that in the progressive sequence FCP will simply assemble the progressive HV30 "fields" correctly and transitions will be applied to the that.

Any thoughts?
