Capturing from XHA1 to Mac, sownloading questions

Hi all, I have a XHA1, Mac Book Pro 17" with 4G ram. I capture to a 7200 SATA drive via FW800. NLE program is FCS2.

Today i recorded about an hours worth of HVD footage at the Long Beach Motorcycle show.

My question:

Should I capture in ProRes HD, edit, then compress to SD

or

Capture in ProRes SD, edit, and export to DVD? OR

I wish to output to a DVD and also output to Vimeo HD.

Of course I want the best quality for my output formats.

Thanks all.
