Firewire Problem

I am having issues with outputing final video projects back to my camera. I am using Premiere 6.5 with a VX-2000. I have a Pentium 4 1.9 GHz processor and 512 MB of Ram. The problem is that whenever I export to the camera I get blue blips of random length. The blips get recorded to the tape. I have tried turning off all unnecessary programs but it still happens. I have searched for other posts with this problem and have found some similar ones, but arnt necessiarly my set up (ex. they are usually outputing to an analog device) Any help would be appriciated
Thanks

Sorry, I am using Windows XP Home Edition, and thanks for your help

Hello Brian,

You don' say what OS etc etc that you're using so I'll just give some general advices:

1. Make sure that you're using the correct(and latest) driver for your firewire card ( could be a VIA / Texas-Instrument mixup )

2. Check that your harddrives are all using the best possible DMA-mode ( check in Devicemanager IDE controllers, primary/secondary )

3. If you have a background virusprotection running, try to unsintall it

Good luck
