DVCPro 50 Codec
Hello All!
I have a job to recompress .mov's supplied by a Final Cut Pro client into Flash Files, using 'Sorenson's squeeze' However, the client has used the DVCPro 50 codec to compress the .mov's, which my p.c based system does not recognise for obvious reasons! My question is twofold: Does Adobe CS install the DVCPro codecs that come with it into the windows codec library? (and therefore be available to other applications?) Is there any other cost effective way of obtaining this (DVCPro 50} codec? Many thanks. |

Many thanks for that Bill!

Software looks good, but Matrox seems to have removed public access to the DVCPRO codec, so I am unable to test the workflow.
Thanks again anyhow... |
You may want to get ffmpeg and convert it to something you can work with in your system. From what I read it can decode DVCPro 50.

Right oh Chris, I will give it a whirl!
