Replacing the voice track on Ulead Video Studio v5

Dear all,

I'm a newbie to Ulead Video Studio v5 (and NLE). While capturing from DV camcorder (Pana MX300), adding a title, adding a music track weren't any biggies, i have the following problem:

I want to REPLACE the existing audio track in the clip. The problem is that if I drag an audio file on the "voice" track, the two are MIXED. Obviously, I want to _replace_ the existing track, not _mix_.

Is this simply a bug in the program or (most probably) I'm doing smth wrong ?

Any idea how to achieve what I want in Video Studio v5 ?

TIA.

Hi,

This might be a little late - But to achieve what you want you can just set the audio volume on your video track to zero "0" - and then only the voice track will be heard.

Just be in the storyboard setting and look at the control panel to the left of the central video display. (to make the control panel appear just click anywhere on the storyboard itself)

The audio volume should already be preset to "100". To change it to "0", just click on the "100", scroll up to "0" and click on it, then click on the apply button (the check mark) that appears below. The sound should now be removed from the video track.

Hope this helps,

Dean
