Editing Question
 

I was wondering...lets say I have 2 of the exact same shots, one with 1 person, and 1 with alot of people walking, shot at the same angle and everything. How do I merge them with Premiere 6.5 so I can have the 1 guy walking slow and the other people walking really fast? I can't seem to quite get this right...

I assume you are trying to composite the two shots together (one on top of the other?)

If you are trying to composite the two shot together, then there really isn't a good way to do it in Premiere. Speeding one clip up and slowing the other down is easy enough, but you will have limited choices if you want to superimpose one over the other.

A better tool for compositing the two shots together is After Effects. Sorry, but it's true.

One thing you can do in Premiere is put one clip on Video Track 1A and the other in Track 1B, right under the first track. Drop in a cross-dissolve and expand to the length of both tracks. Double-click the transition and adjust the setting so that the transition maintains a 50% fade through the whole clip.

Also, you can use put one clip on Video Track 2 and drag down the...rubber band line that I just can't remember the name of right now... hopefully you know what I mean...

But that will not give you a whole lot of control over the image. The best solution is to green screen the single person and key him into the shot of the moving people. You can do that in Premiere and you'll have some more control of the image.
