Conversion from PAL to NTSC, how?

Hey Guys,

If any of you have done this conversion? I know Adrian in Japan does it all the time, and his expirience should give me enough info :-)

Adrian can you share with me what tools do use to make conversion?

Even though I'll be shooting in PAL/Secam country, I might do some corporate projects for the US companies out there, and my guess is that they might prefer to have footage in NTSC.

So I might be facing a conversion process.

This is not only a question for Adrian, anyone with knowledge are welcome to share their thoughts.

Another question related to the conversion is sound. How sound is dependant on frame rates? Or it's not dependant at all?

TIA
Kairat

Canopus makes a DV converter. I've heard good things about it. Videoguys.com sells it. It is not expensive. I do 'low-end' conversions with Aiwa VCRs. When going from PAL to NTSC, the results are very good. The color is slightly off, though.
