Simple Avi-DVD help ?

Please help....I'm getting desperate !!!

I have a finished avi clip (about 60mins in length) and my Pinnacle Studio 8 keeps crashing during render for dvd output....

Could someone reccommend a simple DVD authoring app that will take my completed avi, allow me to add a simple menu, and produce files that will let Nero burn onto a DVD.......!!!!!

I need help BIG TIME.....!

Pinnacle keeps on letting me down.....

Thanks guys !

I Nick, nice to see yet another guy from the UK!

Studio 8 is a bit buggy, do you have the latest patches installed?

Normally with your DVD writer you will get a DVD authoring program. I know that the pioneers come with my DVD which allows you to import the avi file and it will convert it for you. Obviously thats no help if you are not using it.

There might be over applications on the net which might do it for you. try www.dvdrhelp.com they are a dedicated site for DVD authoring etc.

Cheers,

Ed

If you just need to play the movie (without menu's etc.) I do
believe the latest versions of Nero can actually do a simple
authoring as well. There is some template where you can just
drop your mpeg file (must be compliant) in I think. Not sure
about this though.

Sonic's MyDVD seems to work well.

If you just want to try something good out, you can get a 30 day, almost no-limits copy of Uleads DVD Workshop and Adobe's, Encore. DVD Lab is also said to be good. Play your cards right and you will get almost 90 days of free use of good software.

I like DVD Workshop quite a bit.
