Which one

I have been experimenting with Vegas 5, Pinacle Studio 8.5, and a little bit with Premier. It is now time to choose and I need a little help.

Which software out there for the PC is the best all around? I'm going to be making some inde comedies and documentaries and need software that is powerful enough to do it.

Any advice?

I'm seriously lost. I thought by trying a few different ones I'd be smart in my choice, but now I'm just more confused.

In what way are you lost?

Most peopl who try out an NLE can pretty fast tell which one
works best with their way of working and thinking.

Have you actually tried editing a couple of small things/scenes
on the platforms?

Personally I could never wrap my head around the way Premiere
works. It just didn't fit with my way of working. Vegas really
fits with me. But that doesn't make it a better application or
the rest worse. It's just better for me personally.

If you can't feel whats right for you how are we going to be
able to tell you which NLE is best for you!?

Well, obviously no one can tell me what is best for me. Only I can. But, perhaps, if you do know, you could tell me which one has the most features, which one is faster in rendering, etc. With my experimentation, they both seem to be about the same, but I have not done much with premier or ulead thus my question about a possible third option. I know you can't tell me which one my heart craves as a soul mate, but perhaps on the measurable, tangible issues you could shed some light.
Thank you for all your help,

James
