Dvdit Se
I have been pulling my hair out over the problems I am having withDVDIT. I cannot create chapters without the screen going black, the help menu is not very helpful. I have been working for days attempting to burn a dvd I have not yet been sucessful. Is it me or have others found this to be as contrary to use as I have. I have a DVLine turnkey Avid xpress3.0 I dont think this is a avid problem. Help!

It's not a DVLine problem either. I have DVDit! SE and can't wait to replace it with something else. It has never quite fully performed for me. The program is not intuitive at all, the manual is almost worthless... I'm looking for a "real" DVD authoring application.

Here's the best way to create chapters:
1) determine the time-code for the positions you want chapter points from your NLE 2) In DVDit!, select the movie, to the left of the time code indicator, change the "T" to a "C" and do steps 3-5 for each chapter point: 3) Double-click somewhere on the timeline to create a chapter point. 4) Enter the desired chapter position numerically using the information from step 1 5) Press ENTER This is the only way I have been able to reliably and accurately place timecodes into my projects. |
Replaced DVDIT se
Thanks Chris, I knew I wasn't alone, after a recomendation from the Man at DVLine I got ReelDVD with any luck this will work. PS. dont even bother with DVDWorkshop it is worse than DVDIT and tech support and customer service staff are rude!

If you think DVDit SE is bad.... try LE!
It took me two days to finally burn a disc! I could drop the movie in, but not the audio!! Everytime I tried to drop the audio in, I got a C++ runtime error and the program shut down. My workaround was to drop the audio in first, then the video. And, yes, the help (as usual) was no help! |
