Does changing camera's affect Firewire ?

For almost 2 years I have been capturing from my TRV25 with no problems.
I recently switched to a TRV950 and have captured with no problems. I wanted to do a test so I reconnected the TRV25 and tried to capture with it. The PC (win-xp) will not even recognise the old camera at all. Tried to reboot, camera on, off , ect with no change. As soon as I plug the TRV950 back in it pops up instantly. I suppose their could be a problem with the camera but I,m curious if anyone else has seen this type of problem ?

Have you tried a different firewire port?

Try removing the Sony TRV950 from Imaging devices in device manger and then connect your trv25?

Give them a try...
