What sound editing app to go with Adobe?
 

Hi, I'm currently using Adobe Premiere 6.5 and so far I have no software to make music with. My choices are Sony Sound Forge and Sony ACID. My only problem is which one am I supposed to be looking at?! 0.*

They both sound like they do the same thing, they're the same price, and the interface looks similar. I'm wanting to use a midi keyboard to record some music (using multiple instrument files) and I'll want to edit and sequence it and stuff ya know, but I don't know which one to get. Sound Forge sounds like its more for video soundtrack creation/editing but then again, I want to make music to put into an NLE, so does that mean I should pick ACID? Should I get both? I'm not really into the whole music software side of video, can you guys help?

acid pro 4 has teh ability to run DX instruments thru a midi router within the app.
It also allows u to run wav/mp3 (among others) and create a sequence.
Its an audio loop sequencer.

Sound Forge is a audio editor. ie, u use to to chop and change ur audio.

Ina nutshell and on a quick fly response, use acid to sequence music, and use sound forge to edit/master loop and seqqquences.

cubase sx 2 does it all for you. Audio/midi/coice overs/ produce your own music with synths and virtual samplers. Yu can also import video and add 5.1 channeling, ayutomate the whole sequence and import it in adobe. that easy adn that profesional. Soundforge is pretty cool to edit 1 audio waveform at the time. VEry easy to use.
