pavilion zd8000 laptop

I have a chance to get this laptop. I heard the only quirk with this computer is the graphic card which is a x600 gpu. What do you guys think?

there are a lot of those on the refurb market, for a decent price... you might be able to get some u.s. refurb pricing at costco.com(?).

Thanks but I wanted your thoughts on it. You know, if it was a computer you'll recommend?

The specs look great. You might want to check compatibility with your NLE, otherwise it looks good.

Without knowing (A) your needs (battery life and weight important? NLE?), your budget preference, and the price you get on that laptop there isn't much more that can be said.

Actually Glen I had already checked out the specs before posting. The one I'm thinking of getting has 17" wide screen, 100gig UATA 100 drive, DVD burner, 3,2 GHz intel pentium 4 with Hyperthreading, etc...

My biggest usage is to edit big time with it and do some minor game playing with it. I did say minor now.

Like I mentioned before I read read somewhere where someone did not like the idea that it did not include the X800 ATI mobility graphic card but instead it has the X600 gpu, whatever the heck that means.

That's why I wanted someone on this forum who might have it could shed some light of their own. Thanks.

Oh yeah, I think the battery life was something 4hrs.
