Simple problem.....i think...!??!
 

Ok...I think I'm missing something.

I have a video recorder plugged into my Canon Xm2.
The AV to DV option is selected, and I have the XM2 connected to my PC via fire wire to my NLE (Pinnacle Liquid 5.5)

All I want to do is capture the video into Liquid to edit.

When I press play on the video recorder, the XM2 screen comes up with the picture and sound of the video feed, but when I press digitise within Liquid, it starts the tape in the XM2...!!!


AHHHGHGH!!!

This seems a simple task, but I can't quite get it...

Any ideas...is this possible...?!!

1.) You could take the tape out of the camera.

2.) Turn deck / device control off in Pinnacle. I don’t use Pinnacle myself, but I would have thought there would be an option to do this.
