convert mpeg4 in .avi

Hello,

is there anybody that can help me on this?
How do you usually convert mp4 in avi.
My pb is that my camera creates mp4 files (Sanyo Xacti movie C4) and that I usualy use Media Studio Pro 7.0 to do Video Editing and it can read mp4 files...

Thans in advance for any tips.

You should be able to directly export your edited mp4 footage to avi in Media Studio.
The other way I can think of is to import mp4 file into After Effects, make the same composition as your movie and re-render to avi file.

Welcome aboard DVInfo.net Boris!

Did the camera come with any software? Perhaps another NLE
(edit) program can read it?

p.s. I've merged your two threads into one
