Time code burn in?

Why isn't there an option to burn in a time code in premiere, why would that be so hard to make available... I use my Mini dv deck to display one when making a copy to VHS, but it doesn't look very professional plus I still can't burn one on to a DV Tape.

???

The question is 'why'? I guess the answer is 'because'.

Send Adobe a feature request, meanwhile there are third-party work arounds. Is this the question?
