pc/mac question

ok well i didnt know what forum to post this
my situation is i have a pc my friend has a mac i have footage i would like to put on a dvd, and which my friends mac has a dvd burner... i dont want to go thru the trouble of using his comp and editing the clips... can i edit it on my pc same it in a format the mac has and put it into dvd from the mac?

easiest way i can think of, finish your editing, export it back to tape, and then capture the video on his system and compress to an mpeg2/dvd compatible file.

and your done.
