Editing recipies - need inspiration resources

Hi forum,

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good editing resources that give some good examples or recipies of fashionable editing techniques. There is plenty of good editing on UK BBC and CH4/5 (notice I left out ITV - I don't watch it) and I really would like to see how its done.

I am sure it is simple enough to work out and I am sure it is possible to analyse to see how. However if something exists already I would love to see the techniques employed by the pros. I am using Premiere and After Effects CS5 although I don't think this matters, the techniques should be software independent I guess.

Alex
