Trapcode Shine in Liquid Edition???

I've tried w/ negative results to use an AE 6.5 project (w/plug-in called Trapcode Shine) imported into LE. Liquid will not allow me to add a dissolve at the front of the effected clip.Does anyone know if these 2 are compatible? Is there something similar to Shine that I can use instead?
thanks
Fabe

LE will not add a dissolve if there is no footage before that cut and you have restrict duration to head and tail on. You can resolves this by unchecking the box if using the tool, cutting 15 frames from each clip for a 30 frame fade, or put them in A-B style with a 15 frame overlap and add a 2D transparency with a key frame 15 frames into each clip.
