What's the best home office video editing set up?

Hello!

I'm finally getting around to a complete (small) home office conversion dedicated to video editing, but not sure how best to use the area/desk space for PC, TV monitor, hard drives, camera, etc. Is anyone willing to share a jpeg of their set up or comment on the most efficient use of space?

For a start: I plan to build a two-tiered desk so I can get the PC tower, HDs, speakers, printer, scanner, and some other peripherals off the main desk top. I just want my two monitors, keyboard, and mouse on the main desk.

Other suggestions or ideas??

Thanks!

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

You might want to take a look at this thread:

And this is how I have my 'office' laid out:

Thanks Ed!

...I appreciate you taking the time to forward the link and the jpeg of your office set up (there's so many catagories on this site, it hard to find stuff sometimes).

I'm in the process of building my desk today, so it was nice to get some ideas from other DV members. Hopefully now I'll have more room on my desktop and less chance of spilling coffee over everything.

Cheers!

Andrew
