Can you have too many ICC profiles

OK, so I've more or less got the hang of ICC profiles and calibrating monitors and printers and getting my video to look in Premiere pretty much as it does on a TV.

Now what I'm wondering is, are all the unused ICC profiles installed on my PC having a significant effect on its performance? I seem to remember reading somewhere that this was the case but can't find the reference now. Think the advice was to uninstall unused profiles so PhotoShop would run faster.

The easy approach would be to follow this advice and see if I can detect any difference across a range of image/video editing software but I'd prefer to take a less haphazard approach. Does anyone have thoughts to share on this?
