Hello

I had the same problem when I started to work with my NLE and the reason was my harddrive was only 4200 RPM
I bought a external USB 2 HD 7200rpm since then I had no problems.

Maybe that is you problem?

Cheers

Hans

I've never experienced dropped frames on from firewire. What are capturing with, an editing program or an OM product that came with your computer? Also, what are your system specs?
