creating snow in post production

im looking for a way to add a falling snow effect on a night shot.

there will be a car in the scene, so i want the snow to really snow in the headlights, is there a way to do this and keep it realistically looking

i have
Ulead MediaStudio 7
Photoshop 5

I did it in After Effects with Trapcode's Particular plug-in.

I'm a complete AE newbie, so don't trash me too hard...lol

You can see the clip in this video, in the graveyard scene.

EDIT: Just noticed your programs....I'm not sure how you do it with those.
