PPro, EDLs, FCP and Me at DVinfo.net

I haven't done anything with EDLs (Edit Decision Lists), but I understand generally what they are for.

Question: Can I have someone make a rough cut in FCP, output an EDL, and then automatically reassemble that cut in PPro based on that?

I'm talking no transitions, effects, anything... just cuts.

I actuallly don't have any idea but I'd like to know more about EDL's and how to make'em and such :) Haven't gotten around to reading about it so if anyone want's to throw in 2 cents I'll pick em up.
