Exception: file_other: file_name: F:\OMFI Media files/tape4?
 

Im using Avid Xpress Pro and have been for a month or so with no problems with my project.
Only to find now, that this error message comes up when I try to play a few of my clips.

Exception: file_other: file_name: U:\OMFI Media files\tape3 etc..

From research on the net, I have gathered that these files have become corrupted somehow and may need to re-capture. Can anyone verify this?

The strangest and most worrying problem regarding this is once these clips are on my timeline in a sequence, and then I delete them individually the problem then exports itself onto the previous clip in the timeline, which didn’t have a problem before.
So I am deleting the error clip, for the problem to just go on to the other clip before that and so on. I also notice that even when theres no clip in the timeline, the black space where the clip used to be has problems playing also. Like a virus or somthing, though its unlilky my external hardrive has caught one.

Has anyone experienced this before?
