Project file YES, media NO

Hi

I have a busted external hardrive with all my media on it. Im not going to get that back.

But I do have my project file backed up on the computer hardrive plus all my tapes with the media on.

Can somone please explain the workflow of re-capturing all the data back, so it falls into the filenames and sequences that is stated and arranged within my project.

Im using Avid Pro HD 5

Any help would be much appreciated

Thankyou

Couple of way to go about this. ONE way, is to recapture all the media, making sure you NAME the tapes EXACTLY the same way as you first did, then "RelinK" another is "Recapturing".

Check page 269 of the manual.
