dvstorm2 vs rt.x100

hello

I must buy a new editing pc to produce mainly wedding's dvd and vhs.

I use a sony dxc327 with dsr1 (I'm PAL) for shooting.

Until now other people post produce my work, but now I have approximately 7000-8000 euro to spend to buy something

I would want to buy one of these DV vcr:

sony dsr11
jvc dv3000
panasonic ag2500 (pana version of jvc dv 3000)

and an editing workstation with

dvstrom2 or
rt.x100

which of these cards and vcrs are better?

(stability is the first necessity)

thanks
Francesco

My vote would be the Sony and the Storm. But I'm prejudiced. Both are standards of compatibility and stability.

You really ought to go read some of the magazine reports on these products. Most mags have web sites where reports are available.

The Storm 2 has realtime mpeg which might be of help to you. I'm not certain of the RT.100

I believe that the RTX. 100 if you buy before the end of this month is offering The board Premiere and all the usual stuff as well as Sonic Reel DVD 3.0LE which is fantastic if you want to create Motion menus add subtitles etc (its worth about £600) I also think RTX 100 has Realtime Mpeg 2.

Check out www.matrox.com/video

And www.sonic.com for Reel DVD 3.0

And reviews in various magazines like Computer Video (www.computervideo.net)

After all your the one with the money not us. Both are good choices, and both have there pit-falls

hi,

the technical characteristics of the two cards are equivalent for the type of job that I must make.

some my friends have had problems of stability with the rt2000,
with the rtx.100 are improved the stability to the level of the dvstorm2?

(if the price difference is not a lot I will buy the sony vcr )

every suggestion is appreciate
thanks
Francesco
