VO w/ M-Audio Delta

I am building a new PC and am looking to put in an M-Audio Delta 1010LT Sound Card. It says it has 2 XLR inputs... does this mean I can connect my microphones directly to the sound card with an XLR cable WITHOUT going through some sort of mixer or intermediary device?

And is this a good quality product for voice overs? Thanks... specs linked below:

I don't have that card, but that's the way I read the product page you linked. My M-Audio 410 is a small external box -- instead of being an internal PCI card, it interfaces to the rest of the system via firewire, and I plug my XLR's directly into the box. From what I can see, there's no reason that the PCI card should need more than its included I/O breakout cable.

You'll most likely need a pre amp to bring the mic signal up to line level.

Deke, probably a good idea to download and review the user manual, which has a link on the same web page. A separate pre-amp is not required, as the card accepts both mic and line level -- of course, if your config calls for a pre-amp, you certainly could make use of one. For the 410, my signal path is microphone, XLR cable, 410, firewire cable, motherboard. No pre-amp req'd.
