Two Monitors plus s-video out? What Video Card?

Just wondering what kind of video cards people are using to have a dual display, plus an s-video out for a preview monitor?

I recently purchased a geforce4 440mx w/ dual VGA output,...I assumed it had the tv out as well,...but it didn't...so if I want do preview on an ntsc monitor (currently my s-video television i have set up next to my computer)...are there any recommendations for cards out there I can find to do this? Is there another way besides the main video card to output to a preview display?

Thanks...

you could always get a PCI card that would handle that...OR if you are still within the limits...return the geforce and get an ATI all-in-wonder 8500DV, dual mon out and in/out dongle with RCA/svid, plus it has firewire built on...ive recently been eyeing this baby, but i think im gonna hold out till an 8x AGP/128 MB version becomes available. ive been looking around lately, and if i was to purchase a card now, this would probably be the one i get
(im running a 32MB Geforce 400MX, two voodoo3's). then i could lose the geforce, a voodoo, and my firewire card! i know the 8500DV retails at bestbuy/circuit city for round $200, ive seen it online for as low as $163.

but if you keep the geforce you could find a pci video/tuner card for a pretty reasonable price i believe.

Depending on what NLE you're using you could go firewire->deck/cam->tv. This is a low cost solution that I will be using with Vegas 4. Vegas will do realtime (Depending on CPU) out firewire.

Cheers

oh yea...i forgot that option...i can run the analog/RCAs form the cam to a 32 inch sony and preview on the screen no prob in vegas4...that would be the easiest (and no co$t) solution...depends on your camera. im using a GL1. my pc is kinda crappy too...CPU is only 800@880mhz with 768MB ram...

I have said this in so many other threads, i think a page in the main site should be made dedicated to this simple task of video preview output to a tv monitor.

Your tv out of the VGA card is not used and a crappy solution at that.
The firewire out is utilised with the help of a dv deck, a DAC/ADC converter such as the Canopus ADVC-100, or your dv camera itself. You pass the digital signal into your Dv camera, and use the analoque outputs of your dv camera out too your Television. Simple as that.

I have a matrox parahelia card, which works very nicely.

I can output the 3rd monitor rca or s-video.
