TMPGENC questions

Ok. I'm trying to make a nice looking MPEG2 using this program. I've done it before, to where it's virtually indistinguishable from the original AVI file.

I can't get it to do the same this time. When I render this particular file, it looks fine up until fast motion onscreen occurs, then it pixellates. Clips where's there's slower or no motion are smooth and clean.

The AVI that I'm trying to create the MPEG2 from was rendered as 24p, uncompressed.

Does anyone have any settings they use from TMPGENC to get great results?

Also, should I use a 60i AVI file and convert it to 24p using TMPGENC, when I render the MPEG2 out, instead of using the already-converted 24p AVI? Will this give me better end results?

How about this?

Thanks. I'll take a look.

Josh one word of warning, using these settings can be forever to render the video.

I have quite a bit of time. Plus, the video's only like 48 seconds.

Josh,

To better answer your question tell us what settings you are
using. Lower bitrates will give much more blocks with high
speed scenes than higher bitrates...
