Final Draft AV = other alternatives?

Are there any alternative programs to Final Draft AV other than manually making dual collumns in MS word yourself?
For Audio Video scripts i mean... not regular scripts.

There is the Script Werks template for MS Word - haven't used it personally, but a friend of mine reports that it works well for him.

Then, there's Movie Magic Screenwriter, but that's probably not quite what you have in mind since it competes directly against Final Draft - not the AV version.

Personally, I think that Final Draft AV, for its shortcomings, is still the best option out there for folks who just want two columns to work right.

I believe CELTX will do that layout:

A/V script will print out that way when you go to the typeset tab at the bottom.

They have a sample A/V script that shows this specific thing when you go to the typeset for it.

Wow, Cole! I had never heard of Celtx. Thanks for posting that. It is much more intuitive to me than anything else I've used. Best of all, it's free!

free is good...and it's cross platform and they have an online component which allows you to work cooperatively with folks from whereever in the world they happen to be. My production company has folks (specifically my AD, writer and script supe) who live 80+ miles away...so we can work on the script with Celtx and Skype (free Skype to Skype long distance telephony app) without leaving home. My AD and script supe are on windows, the writer and I are Mac folks...we have a linux based guy that works with us as well and we're all covered by it!
