80s Look

Hey does anybody know how to shoot a video to like like it was made in the 80s

This is a video of snoop doggs new song sensual seduction and its show in 80s style. The clothes and what not i know but i was wondering if there is a certain way to light or what kind of filter should i use. And does anybody know how to the multiple copies from behind flying forward effect

The 'greenish' video is actually an old 80's camera - used to belong to a DVinfo'er. :) Search on this board for sensual seduction, there's a thread about it somewhere :)

It is nearly impossible to duplicate the look of old tube cameras with a modern camera; the way they render color and detail and their smeary effect with highlights is a pretty complicated cocktail. Besides, it's more fun to dig up old cameras of the era, they can be had for a song on eBay!

They also used star filters on that video; a 4-point is a good place to start (makes an x or a plus sign appearance around lights). And heavy period diffusion like a Harrison and Harrison double fog filter will add to the 70's look.

Thanks guys greatly appreciated but do any of you know how to make the effect with the multiple shadows flying forward
