log and capture bug

when im digitizing in final cut pro using capture now
my final cut pro locks up and I have to restart my computer.
im using a panasonic dvx100 as my deck, and i have recently upgraded
to osx leopard...does anyone know if its a setting....

once i restart there is a quicktime-av file that is taking up over 200 gigs for some reason..i throw the file away and i have all my space back, but i cant figure out what to do so i can capture my footage without it locking up again.
please help

Nice attitude. No wonder so many people jumped to help...

Always make sure your "limit capture now" setting is turned on in your capture settings (same place you set your scratch disks). Setting a limit will keep FCP from allocating a huge chunk of HDD space and possibly crashing your system.
