What to do with my extra workstation.

I have a Gateway 827GM sitting here. I acquired this from the company I used to work for. It's got Windows Media Center Edition on it but I've been messing around with Ubuntu Studio on it for a while. It can be formatted or anything else be done to it, but was wondering if anyone had any interesting ideas of what I should do with the machine? Btw, i'm not going to send it to you....I know someone would suggest this lol. So.....let's hear some ideas :)

Donate it to a charity like Goodwill?

Get your wife / significant other / kids / best friend / neighbor / favorite family member started on video editing.

I'm looking more so for something that I can do with it.

You could hook it up to one of your TV's and use it as a media server.

Other than that, if you really can't find a use for it, I think Chris Hurd's idea is wonderful.

Several things come to mind. MYTH tv server or stand alone.

If its not powerful enough for MYTH, then do you need a smoothwall?

If it were mine I would set up a dedicated host for one of my favorite online games.

Do you need extra file storage, toss some linux on it and load it up with hard drives. Do you have a batch process that consumes a lot of time on your primary workstation? I have my DVD burner in a seperate computer just to keep from tying up my editing computer.
